Institute of Leadership Development (ILD) represents one of the instruments through which IFCI has broadened its original mandate on being a catalyst for industrial growth in India. The Institute is a manifestation of IFCI's agenda to build capacities by developing skilled manpower for industry in addition to providing financial support to various industries. ILD was set up in the year 1992, with a broad objective to develop an enlightened and motivated workforce all over India through education, training, research and consultancy & counselling apart from classroom learning modules. ILD also aims to be a center for out-bound training and management workshops.
ILD's leadership Programs have been developed through the interface of educational institutes, individual thinkers, government and commercial organizations on topical issues. Providing the most effective training to inculcate leadership qualities, ILD's Programs empower participants to address the challenges that face human leadership today. Completing the cycle of Questions, Answers and Implementation, the Programs enable participants to become proactive members- at work, home and within the community. ILD is supported by IFCI, which will provide the institute with the resources required to ensure its final place as the futuristic center of learning for global leaders.
